UNIROBOTICS Empowers SALVO with TRAKON Lite
UNIROBOTICS, a member of the Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) Group, has successfully integrated its remote-controlled weapon system (RCWS), TRAKON Lite, into DEARSAN Shipyard's SALVO Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV), with the initial firing tests concluding successfully.
TRAKON Lite, developed by SYS group company UNIROBOTICS, completed its initial firing tests successfully in the Sea of Marmara on 22 February, 11 km away from the armament. UNIROBOTICS has seamlessly integrated its naval version of the TRAKON Lite RCWS, designed and developed using its own resources, into DEARSAN Shipyard's SALVO USV. The company will continue to play an active role in the armament of USVs in the future. With the success of this test, UNIROBOTICS will continue to produce cutting-edge products utilizing its expertise in electromechanics, embedded systems, and mechatronics.
Developed with Indigenous Technologies
Ömür Baç, General Manager of UNIROBOTICS, emphasized the growing importance of USVs in today’s defense landscape, stating, “At UNIROBOTICS, we continue to create projects of vital importance for our country. We have successfully integrated our naval RCWS TRAKON Lite, which we financed with our own resources and developed using entirely indigenous and national technologies, into the SALVO, equipped with superior command, control, and navigation systems developed by DEARSAN Shipyard. Our country’s national USVs are designed with the needs of all allied and friendly nations, especially Türkiye, in mind. With this project, we aim to enhance Türkiye’s maritime capabilities and stand out among our global competitors. In the upcoming period, we will continue to take a leading role in the armament of USVs, develop indigenous technology, and increase the domestic production capacity of our defense sector.”
Lightweight and Cost-Effective Solution
TRAKON Lite was developed for police boats, special operations vessels, and unmanned platforms that require fast and agile intervention. It stands out as a lightweight, cost-effective, and versatile RCWS. TRAKON Lite is capable of integrating 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, or 12.7 mm heavy machine guns, or 40 mm grenade launchers. Its compact design allows for easy integration on USVs, as well as unmanned ground vehicles, tactical wheeled vehicles, and main battle tanks. TRAKON Lite can also be optionally armored.
