CANiK Team Dominates 2023 Championships

The CANiK Team asserted its dominance in the championships organized by the International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA) in 2023. Securing first place in the IDPA World Championship held in the USA from October 12 to 14, where 370 shooters competed, marked a significant achievement. Additionally, the CANiK Team claimed the top spot in the Turkish leg of the competition, solidifying their success. Cahit Utku Aral, General Manager of CANiK, stated, "Our athletes were champions in last year's IDPA European Championship, and this year they went even further by prevailing in the IDPA Turkish National and IDPA World Championships. We will continue to contribute to sport shooting both in Türkiye and abroad."

Award-Winning Pistol Brings Victory

The CANiK Team emerged as the champion in the IDPA World Championship 2023, a quadrennial event considered one of the largest marksmanship competitions globally. CANiK Team Captain Nils Jonasson claimed first place in the SSP (Stock Service Pistol) and Iron Sight categories using CANiK’s award-winning SFx RIVAL-S pistol, showcasing CANiK’s excellence and achievements with its 100 percent indigenous and national products. Alperen Kıvılcım, another CANiK Team shooter who previously won championships in Turkey and Indonesia, finished 12th in his category and among the top 25 overall in his first IDPA World Championship.

CANiK Team Continues to Excel

The IDPA Turkish National Championship, held on October 28 and 29 in Bulgaria and sponsored by CANiK, witnessed CANiK Team members topping the podium once again. The competition, organized to honor the 100th anniversary of the Republic, saw CANiK Team’s Alperen Kıvılcım securing first place overall. Kıvılcım received multiple awards, including Carry Optic Master 1, Carry Optic Division Champion, High Industry, and Carry Optic High Staff, while Taha Oğuzhan Kaymak won first place in the Esp-SS category. The event featured participation from 111 shooters representing countries such as Hungary, Poland, Romania, Italy, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Ukraine, Croatia, Estonia, Bulgaria, and Türkiye.

“We Will Continue to Support Sport Shooting”

Cahit Utku Aral, General Manager of CANiK, stated that the brand has become one of the most significant representatives of sport shooting internationally, thanks to sponsorships and achievements. He remarked, "In the 100th year of our Republic, following the path of our Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, we continue to represent our country proudly and raise the flag on the international stage. Today, we have become a brand with global recognition as one of the key representatives of both the defense and aerospace industry and sports shooting. I heartily congratulate CANiK Team athletes for granting us and our country the pride of victory again. We will continue to support to the conscious and proper use of firearms through CANiK Academy and support sport shooting both in Türkiye and worldwide in line with our global vision."

CANiK Team Wins INCAS CUP

The CANiK Team also emerged victorious at the INCAS CUP (IPSC PERU), held on September 16 and 17, 2023, featuring over 100 professional shooters from 21 different countries competing for the top spot, including participants from South and North America. CANiK Team Captain Nils Jonasson secured the tournament victory, adding another international championship to his list of achievements. Cahit Utku Aral, General Manager of CANiK, commented on the development, saying, "We, as CANiK, are implementing projects and strengthening our presence in South American countries like Peru. We extend our congratulations to our CANiK Team captain Nils Jonasson for his achievements and thank him for his contributions to the CANiK brand."
