Today, it is time to celebrate the culmination of a 25-year journey with pride and joy, for the entire CANiK family.
Today, it is time to celebrate the culmination of a 25-year journey with pride and joy, for the entire CANiK family. Since we took our first step into the defense and aerospace sector on 18 September 1998, we always aimed for the stars, the number one place in the entire world, and we have remained loyal to this goal. On our journey towards this goal, we have reached where we are today by implementing our strategic plans with determination. Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) started its journey as a small workshop in Samsun, but transformed into a “global defense company with Turkish owners headquartered in Türkiye”, together with its global brand CANiK and subsidiaries through these 25 years. SYS now produces on three continents and our products can be found and used in 70 countries around the world.
Throughout this epic journey, we have never deviated from our fundamental principles of honesty, justice, and being solution-oriented. These principles are the cornerstones of SYS and are the guiding values on our path.
We have set our vision as being the dictionary definition of innovation, quality, and intelligent solutions in the firearms and defense and aerospace sectors on the global stage, while our mission is to design, develop, and produce the solutions of the future in the firearms, defense and aerospace sectors through investing in a talented workforce and creating highly efficient smart processes.
Our recent acquisition of UK-based AEI Systems, one of the world’s leading medium-caliber cannon manufacturers, is an important milestone in line with this vision and mission. With this development, we are now among the hosts at the DSEI 2023 exhibition that brings together global actors in the sector in London. We are also showcasing the CANiK M3 12.7mm heavy machine gun which recently completed its qualification process and is the fastest-firing heavy machine gun we have produced to date, at this exhibition. We are raising the Turkish flag at DSEI as we are now one of the two countries that produce this heavy machine gun.
In the past 25 years, we have not only become a solution partner for our country but also all allied and friendly countries. We envisioned our dreams, made our plans, and achieved great success. We were able to overcome the challenges on our path with the support of our dedicated and determined employees and esteemed business partners. We have achieved successes that others could not even dream of, as the whole CANiK family.
We have full confidence that we will continue to work together and achieve new successes as we face the future.
