Our story begins with the efforts of my father, engineer Mr. Cahit, who is actually a graduate of İstanbul Technical University, one of Turkey’s most established institutions.
Our story begins with the efforts of my father, engineer Mr. Cahit, who is actually a graduate of İstanbul Technical University, one of Turkey’s most established institutions. Our activities continued in the form of establishing food facilities, working in the domestic and foreign markets and seeking innovative investments. Then the gun issue appeared. Today, as Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS), we have become one of the important companies of the Turkish defense industry in the field of pistol system design, production of pistols and pistol accessories. We reached the capacity to produce one pistol per minute with the CANiK brand, and in addition, we are proud of the mass production of the CANiK M2 QCB 12.7 mm heavy machine gun, the world’s most advanced M2 QCB, known as Turkey’s domestic and national anti-aircraft gun.
As you remember, we said ‘Hello’ to all of our readers with our first issue. Now we are here with our second issue of CANiK News, which has been met with great interest and excitement by all our stakeholders. First, we would like to thank each and every one of our readers for their support. We were able to deliver the second issue of CANiK News full of valuable content, which is a very new and different experience for us.
In this issue, in addition to the news about the IDEF’21 (International Defence Industry Fair), where we introduced our precious CANiK M2 QCB 12.7 mm heavy machine gun for the first time, you can see that our cover subject is our domestic and national anti-aircraft gun. Our General Manager C. Utku Aral presents all the technical details about our M2 QCB to you. In addition, you can find the foundation stories and investment plans of our sub-brands that will feed us on a global scale, such as CANiK AcademyTM, Unirobotics and Mecanik brands, and the dreams and expectations of CANiK Team’s young shooters in this issue.
In addition to our other news about SYS, we are very happy to present important developments from our industry to our readers in this issue. We were very excited while preparing our new issue, in fact, we also learned new things. We hope you will like our new issue with the same enthusiasm as ours.
