CANiK Academy, which is one of the visionary projects of Samsun Yurt Savunma in terms of branding efforts, has a very special place in the defence sector thanks to its training programs for its users in order to ensure the conscious and effective use of firearms. Stating that they started their activities last August, İsmail Dut, CANiK AcademyTM Manager pointed out that they provide training not only to their solution partners in the country but also abroad as well.
Turkey’s first and only academy of its field
CANiK AcademyTM was established in August 2021 and started to operate. Stating that the idea of “Providing comprehensive, up-to-date and customizable training programs for our individual and official users in order to ensure the safest, conscious and effective use of firearms and accessories” was the basis of the founding idea of the academy, Dut noted that their vision was determined as “becoming the first and leading training academy in Turkey of this field”.
Dut stated that, “Within CANiK AcademyTM, we continue to train our corporate customers with tactical shooting, sportive shooting, gunsmith training, medical and media consultancy training programs. Currently, our training activities continue with the relevant units of the General Directorate of Security and Gendarmerie General Command, one of our law enforcement forces in the country. In addition, our tactical shooting and gunman training programs continue for the institutions of many countries abroad such as the Philippines, Poland, Brazil, Somalia, Singapore and Australia.”, Dut also stated that when the infrastructure works of the training facilities of the academy are completed, training programs for the individual user trainings will start.
The Academy will create awareness in 2022
Dut stated that the trainers working within CANiK Academy consist of military and law enforcement personnel with more than 15 years of field experience and national athletes who have degrees in international competitions in shooting branches. He also pointed out that the expert training operations specialists works with the team in the background to support for the planning of these training activities and the effective execution of the operation processes. Saying, “Thanks to their field experience and knowledge, our trainers are able to meet the training needs of our corporate and individual users at all levels, regardless of day or night, in accordance with the real-life scenarios”, Dut also underlined that the participants will raise awareness about safe and conscious use of weapons.
“WE KEEP IN TOUCH WITH OUR R&D DEPARTMENT”
By stating that one of their missions as CANiK Academy is to cooperate with the R&D units of institutions for equipment and accessories developed for users, one of the duties of their academy is to provide the necessary technical support to R&D studies for the design, testing and feedbackbased improvements of the developed products.
