2022 has been a very intense year for us, with full of new products, new deliveries, new awards, and a schedule full of fairs and events. 2023 will be certainly more of the same, but with very special anniversaries for us. 

We will be celebrating the 100^th anniversary of founding of Republic of Türkiye, where our company was born, with pride and excitement so great it cannot be measured. This auspicious year is also the 25^th anniversary of Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS), a grand family with our CANiK brand and many subsidiaries like UNIDEF and UNIROBOTICS. These two significant anniversaries coinciding makes 2023 even more important and meaningful for us. We are planning events where we will spread our joy and pride with all our stakeholders, and we will be sharing details on these events soon. 

SYS will continue to be a leader in the 100^th founding anniversary of Republic of Türkiye and 25^th anniversary of its founding, with its CANiK brand and all its subsidiaries. The factory we have been building in West Palm Beach, FL will become fully operational in 2023 and deliver batches of products. We will start providing medium caliber cannons for Türkiye and her allies with our VENOM 30 LR 30x113 mm cannon. We will also provide solutions for the integration of this cannon. We will continue to deliver the best M2 heavy machine gun in the world, CANiK M2 QCB, while offering new products and services, perhaps even making a few surprises. 

I would like to touch on CANiK M2 QCB, one of the best examples of what we can accomplish when we have a desire and a plan. Our heavy machine gun completed the toughest qualification test prepared for .50-cal machine guns without a single fault. In addition, we broke a record by officially achieving a 20,000-round life cycle for our barrel. After completing our qualification process in August, we delivered a batch of 750 pieces to Turkish end users at once. I can state with proud that all our production lines for M2 machine guns are full, for the next two years, with products going to our users across the world. 

We continued to add more awards to our collection in 2022 as well. In the surveys led by The Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB) and supported by The Economic Policy Research Foundation of Türkiye (TEPAV) and TOBB University of Economics and Technology, we were among the top 100 fastest-growing companies in Türkiye four years in a row. We were presented with “Export Champion” award on Firearms Category by Defense and Aerospace Industry Exporters’ Association (SSI) according to 2020 data. In 2021, we increased our exports by 60 percent, becoming the “Export Champion” in the same category once again. We are the only company that is a top 10 exporter in all categories in the defense and aerospace sector. 

We were able to receive our 4^th award at Industry Choice Awards, perhaps the Oscars of firearms industry, with our CANiK SFx RIVAL. We had won this award in 2017 with our TP9 SFx, in 2019 with TP9 ELITE COMBAT, and in 2020 with TP9 ELITE SC.  

Captain of CANiK Team, Nils Jonasson, brought many victories in his and our name in 2022 as well, with 6 USA National championships in various categories. He then crowned these achievements by new ones at IDPA tournament using CANiK SFx RIVAL, winning the first place in ESP-DM, the Championship of ESP Division, and High International Handgun awards. 

We attended 25 fairs in total across the globe during 2022. Our busy schedule will continue in 2023, and we are sure that we will receive returns on our participation in global fairs by signing international contracts.
