CANiK Team Wins 3 Awards at CANiK-Sponsored IDPA European Championship

CANiK became the main sponsor for this year’s IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) European Championship, held between 10-13 October in Italy at the Sermoneta Shooting Club. IDPA European Championship is regarded as the largest marksmanship competition organised in Europe. This year’s championship lasted for 4 days, where expert athletes tried their best to shoot for the first place in 15 different stages. 515 expert shooters from USA, Germany, Estonia, Finland, Croatia, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, Hungary, Mexico, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Türkiye tried to add one more entry to their success stories.

The first IDPA club established with the support from a defence industry company in Türkiye, “CANiK Team” participated in the championship as well. Apart from CANiK Team, captained by Nils Jonasson and managed by İsmail Dut, Director of CANiK Academy, more than 30 Turkish participants competed in the championship. Jonasson won 3 awards in the championship with his CANiK SFx RIVAL pistol: Champion of ESP Division, First Place at ESP DM, and High International Handgun.

 

CANiK Booths Established for Participants

Only well-known and well-regarded brands are invited at the IDPA European Championship, and the event’s main sponsor CANiK also set up two booths at the event venue. CANiK branded pistols, accessories and textile products were showcased in these booths, and CANiK Tech members also provided support to the competitors. Additionally, all competitors had the chance to try out CANiK SFx RIVAL at the CANiK Stage named “In the Gun Shop”.
