CANiK Showcased Its 30x113 mm Cannon at SAHA EXPO 2022 for the First Time
CANiK, a leading arms manufacturer around the world and a subsidiary of Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS), showcased its newest products and accessories for the first time, including a medium caliber 30x113 mm cannon at SAHA EXPO 2022 fair, which was held between 25-28 October in Istanbul.
C. Utku Aral, General Manager of SYS, has shared the following on 30x113 mm cannons: “As 30x113 mm cannons can use both high explosive and armor-piercing ammunitions, they can perform the tasks of both 40 mm grenade launchers and 12.7 mm heavy machine guns by themselves, combining two weapon systems into a single way. 30x113 mm cannons can be used on land, naval and air platforms. We are among the 5 companies around the world that can produce this kind of product, and the only on in Türkiye. In addition, as we focused on creating an ecosystem, we can develop 30x113 mm cannon integration solutions aimed at all platforms, through our subsidiaries UNIROBOTICS and UNIDEF. UNIROBOTICS is a subcontractor for HAVELSAN in the Offshore Patrol Vessel Project for Turkish Naval Forces, which is itself a subcontractor for ASFAT in said project, providing its 12.7 mm Remote Controlled Stabilized Weapon Station TARGAN for the project. The company also is developing TRAKON 30 turret for VENOM LR 30x113 mm cannon. This turret was integrated into a platform for the first time, Nurol Makina’s EJDER YALÇIN, and was showcased in the UK. We also aim to provide for international needs with our 30x113 mm cannon. We are closely following every single development in the global defense sector. As SYS, we are also working on unmanned ground vehicles. We aim to get involved with our 30x113 mm cannon system on both manned and unmanned platforms across the world in the near future.”

CANiK also marketed its newest pistol models in its booth, in addition to marketing MECANiK with its newest accessories, CANiK Academy with its training activities, CANiK Smart with its innovative and out of the box training products, and CANiK App. The trophy won by Nils Jonasson, CANiK Team Captain and the champion of the most prestigious and largest competitive shooting tournament organized by USPSA, and the award winning CANiK SFx RIVAL that brought him victory was also presented in the company’s booth.
The visitors of CANiK’s booth also had the chance to enjoy the experience of airsoft shooting.
