Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) took the stage with CANiK M2 QCB at Eurosatory 2022, one of the biggest defense industry fairs in Europe. While CANiK M2 QCB debuted at Eurosatory, it was its second time on the European stage after IDEF.
SYS introduced CANiK brand pistols, CANiK M2 QCB heavy machine gun and weapon integration solutions of its subsidiaries UNIDEF and UNIROBOTICS at the fair held on June 13-17 in Paris. SYS also received new orders for the next year as a result of contacts established during the fair.
C. Utku Aral, General Manager of SYS, commented on their participation in Eurosatory: “As CANiK, we have strengthened our place among the giants of the world with Eurosatory 2022. We continue to achieve new triumphs with our products exported to 69 countries around the world.”
Opening a separate parenthesis for the CANiK M2 QCB, Aral continued: “Our unique 12.7 mm CANiK M2 QCB heavy machine gun, developed with a unique barrel production technology, was one of the most popular products of the fair. We also drew attention by featuring all our platform-integration solutions together at the fair. CANiK M2 QCB, developed within the scope of our Machine Gun for Platforms Project, has a very privileged and indispensable place. Every detail has been considered for the effective use of this machine gun, which is essentially a platform weapon. Our subsidiaries UNIDEF and UNIROBOTICS also introduced capabilities needed to seamlessly integrate these weapons into air, land, and sea platforms at the fair. These companies are developing systems that will enable a heavy gun such as M2 to be used accurately and seamlessly on land-sea-air platforms.”
Stating that they managed a busy meeting traffic during the fair, Aral continued: “We attended a series of meetings and signed preliminary agreements, as well as various government tenders from many European countries. During this very productive event, we also started to receive new orders for 2023. We strengthened our presence in Europe with Eurosatory 2022. This fair has given a significant impetus to our growth strategy in Europe.”
