N. Didem ARAL, SYS Group - CANiK Executive Board Member Responsible for Foreign Trade, stands as one of the key figures behind this vision, having led numerous agreements that enhanced CANiK’s global influence.

The newly signed contracts and memorandums of understanding with Türkiye’s allied and partner nations such as Azerbaijan, Pakistan, and Bangladesh during IDEF 2025 represent not only commercial success but also strategic steps in strengthening regional security and defence cooperation. Aral highlights the engineering capabilities, production infrastructure, and diplomatic approach behind these agreements with a visionary perspective.

Our interview covers not only the developments tied to IDEF 2025 but also the launch of production at CANiK USA facilities, the 2024 export success worth 172 million USD, the 2025 target of 250 million USD, the 165 million USD investment roadmap, and CANiK’s ambition to position itself globally as an “integrated defence solutions provider.”
In this conversation, we delve into sustainable exports in defence, strategic partnerships, and the future of production capabilities, while taking a closer look at the CANiK vision shaped under the leadership of N. Didem ARAL.
