Even though we enter 2021 under the shadow of the pandemic, we maintain our hope, eagerness to work and enthusiasm.
Even though we enter 2021 under the shadow of the pandemic, we maintain our hope, eagerness to work and enthusiasm. Although the acceptance processes of government contracts have slowed under the pandemic, our sales have increased significantly in 2020 due to developments in the civilian markets. We believe that the positive momentum of our sales will continue in 2021.
While we are endeavoring to advance our position in the global small arms market, we also are proud to have developed our indigenous and national aircraft fighter CANiK M2 QCB Heavy Machine Gun. Our preparations for mass production of this gun, which is superior to its competitors in the world, are underway.
In fact, there have been many other notable developments in the Samsun Yurt Savunma (SYS) family, which is growing day by day. One of these developments is CANiK News Magazine through which I address you today. We will share with you what is going on in the world of SYS through our magazine, the first issue of which you are currently reading. In CANiK News, which will be published quarterly in Turkish and English, we will publish not only news about our company, but also news from the defence sector ecosystem as it expands day by day.
H. Zafer Aral, the Chairman of the Board of SYS, will be the guest on our Executive Floor pages. Aral speaks about his love for the industrialism that our family has been pursuing with enthusiasm for half a century, as well as the establishment of SYS and the achievements of CANiK.
