Dear CANiK NEWS Readers,
We are passing through a critical period where the global security architecture is reshaped by unmanned systems, asymmetric threats and rapidly evolving operational requirements. Today, battlefield superiority is no longer determined by a single weapon system, but by integrated defence ecosystems that early detect, accurately classify and neutralise threats across various engagement layers. As Canik companies, we do not merely follow this transformation; we are shaping the future combat environment with our “Distributed, Mobile and Layered Defence” approach. Our vision set forth at SAHA, EFES and Eurosatory during the first half of 2026 concretely manifested this strategic approach. Successfully integrating our M3 FALCON heavy machine gun into Azerbaijan’s Mi-17 helicopters and our TRAKON CORE 30 remote-controlled weapon system into the ARW-39 CAT-A unmanned surface vessel, demonstrated Canik’s competency in product development, system
integration and platform adaptation.
The intense interest in our solutions at Denmark’s DALO event proved these capabilities resonate globally. Meetings with military and industry representatives clearly reaffirmed the modern armed forces’ need for high-firepower, mobile and scalable systems that can be rapidly integrated across diverse platforms.
The 2026 NATO Summit in Ankara was a historic turning point highlighting Türkiye’s strategic position and advanced defence industry capacity. Prominent summit topics—such as
deterrence, ammunition production, countering unmanned systems and resilient supply chains—demonstrated how accurate and strategic our long-standing investments in
these fields have been.
Today, global actors are driving rapid and disruptive shifts in geopolitical balances. In this new era, developing advanced technology alone is insufficient. Global defence companies will stand out by consistently manufacturing to high-quality standards, while possessing reliable supply chains, robust production infrastructure and sustainable after-sales
support. Our multinational structure—comprising seven manufacturing facilities and four R&D centres across Türkiye, the USA and the UK—enables Canik to provide services across a vast geography at the heart of this transformation. By the end of 2026, the construction of our new headquarters— one of our largest investments carrying Canik to future generations—will be completed. Designed for maximum operational efficiency, this eco-friendly facility provides an inspiring workplace and a lasting legacy. Behind these steps lies our firm belief that, despite technological advancements, human beings remain at the centre of lasting success. With Canik ACADEMY celebrating its fifth anniversary and serving as a core function of our Headquarters, we will elevate our training and security culture beyond international standards. Through the 5th annual Canik Festival in Samsun, we further strengthened the bonds between our company, our colleagues and their families. By connecting youth with
future technologies through the Hezarfen Training Camp and our internship programmes, we continue transferring our accumulated knowledge to future generations.
